The historic Venetian Pool, a iconic Coral Gables landmark, and popular tourist stop is getting an $800,000 renovation to preserve the pool.
The pool, built in 1923, has only gone through two previous renovations, the first in 1989 and the second just five years ago in 2009. The newest plan for renovations include a roof replacement, window repair, cabinetry, pool repair, beach sand replacement, concrete work, and drainage updating.
Construction will commence once the City commissioners meet to discuss a deadline.
