The Planning, Zoning, and Appeals board has recommended rezoning 60 acres on both sides of NW 20th street for housing options and mixed-use developments.
However to accomplish this two votes are needed by the city commission in order to change the land use designation from Light Industrial to General Commercial, and change the zoning.
The city could see these changes going into effect as early as the first of the new year.
